Olá amigos, estou precisando fazer conexão com um banco de dados firebird, ja instalei o programa firebird, abri a porta 3050 e ainda sim recebo a informação:
"Provedor não encontrado. É possível que ele não esteja instalado corretamente."

Estou usando a seguinte linha de conexão:
conn.ConnectionString = "Provider=ZStyle IBOLE Provider;Data Source=localhost:c:anco.fdb;UID=name_user;password=pass_user"

Alguem poderia por favor me dar uma ajuda...

Eu uso deste jeito tanto no Vb6 quanto Vb2010.

Banco.Open "Provider=Ibole.provider.v4;Data Source=" & App.Path & "SeuBanco.fdb", "SYSDBA", "masterkey"
Public Con As New System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnection("Provider=Ibole.provider.v4;Data Source=" & My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath & "SeuBanco.FDB")

      adoBanco.CommandTimeout = 30
      adoBanco.ConnectionString = "Provider=ZStyle IBOLE Provider;Data Source=SERVER:D:sigeCOMPUSOFTDADOSDBSIGCOM.FDB;UID=sysdba;password=masterkey"
      adoBanco.Open

Não esquece de colocar a "IBOLE.DLL" no System32 e registra com regsvr32.exe !!
